Boston Advantage (MM) hangs on, beats LA Jr Kings (MM) 3-1

AUSTIN NAVARRO scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and Boston Advantage (MM) held off the challenges of LA Jr Kings (MM) in a tough 3-1 win.

A goal 14:46 into the the first period by NAVARRO proved to be the game winner, and powered Boston Advantage (MM) to the victory Christian Schurmann-Colicchio picked up the assist.

Boston Advantage (MM)'s Craig Pantano was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 29 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Pantano will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.78.

LA Jr Kings (MM)'s power play was ineffective against Boston Advantage (MM)'s penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Boston Advantage (MM) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow LA Jr Kings (MM) to score on any of its nine power plays.

Boston Advantage (MM) was helped by Liam Pecararo, who grabbed one goal. Pecararo scored 3:18 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Boston Advantage (MM). Bobby Hall assisted on the tally. Mike Fairbanks also scored for Boston Advantage (MM). Other players who recorded assists for Boston Advantage (MM) were Cam Chelo, who had two and Will Golden and Joe Villari, who contributed one a piece.

LA Jr Kings (MM) managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. LA Jr Kings (MM) finished below its season average of 5.0 penalty minutes per game.

LA Jr Kings (MM) was led by Dean Rhymer, who scored the team's only goal. Rhymer scored 5:26 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Boston Advantage (MM). Dimitris Jones picked up the assist.

Boston Advantage (MM) incurred 34 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. LA Jr Kings (MM)'s Niko DELLAMAGGIORE stopped 16 shots out of the 19 that he faced.
