Cefalu leads San Jose Jr Sharks 14U over Omaha AAA 14U, 6-2

Nick Cefalu was all over the ice for San Jose Jr Sharks 14U, as he tallied two goals and one assist in San Jose Jr Sharks 14U's 6-2 win over Omaha AAA 14U.

Cefalu's tallies came at 13:11 into the first period to make the score 2-0 San Jose Jr Sharks 14U and 6:33 into the second to make the score 3-1 San Jose Jr Sharks 14U.

San Jose Jr Sharks 14U pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

San Jose Jr Sharks 14U's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Omaha AAA 14U power plays.

San Jose Jr Sharks 14U also got points from Dylan Dix, who also registered one goal and one assist and Brendan Tydingco, who also finished with one goal and one assist. San Jose Jr Sharks 14U also got a goal from Sawyer Lockleis as well. In addition, San Jose Jr Sharks 14U received assists from Evan Pace, who had three and Andrew Bascom and Mischa Subotin, who contributed one a piece.

San Jose Jr Sharks 14U's defense shut down Omaha AAA 14U's forwards for much of the game, and Omaha AAA 14U got off only 11 shots during the contest.

Omaha AAA 14U was led by Nathan Groom, who had one goal. Groom scored 5:12 into the second period to make the score 2-1 San Jose Jr Sharks 14U. Austin Eastep provided the assist. Luke Suter also scored for Omaha AAA 14U. Other players who recorded assists for Omaha AAA 14U were Shane Arnold and Gabe Wahl, who each chipped in one.

Sean Dickson rejected nine shots on goal for San Jose Jr Sharks 14U. San Jose Jr Sharks 14U registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Omaha AAA 14U's Van Christiansen stopped 17 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Omaha AAA 14U incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
