Lindner lifts Mt.Brydges over North Middlesex, 6-1

Tony Lindner had two goals to lead the Mt.Brydges Bulldogs to a 6-1 victory over the North Middlesex Stars.

Lindner found the back of the net on the power play 9:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mt.Brydges and again while 13:49 into the first to make the score 2-0 Mt.Brydges.

North Middlesex's power play was ineffective against Mt.Brydges' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Bulldogs kept the Stars' goalie busy throughout the game, and Alex Foster made 32 saves on 38 shots. Mt.Brydges found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Bulldogs average 3.5 goals per contest.

Mt.Brydges also got points from David Wade, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Ryan Battersby, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, and Grant Duffield, who also had one goal and one assist. Grant Johns also scored for Mt.Brydges. More assists for Mt.Brydges came via Mike Frizzell, who had three and Tyler Lockwood, Cameron Dewan, and Cole Chilvers, who contributed one a piece.

North Middlesex was led by Jordan Drury, who scored the team's only goal. Drury scored on the power play 1:05 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Mt.Brydges.

Matt Taylor (APM) recorded 19 saves for Mt.Brydges. The Bulldogs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Stars ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major. For North Middlesex, Chris Waack was ejected from the game.
