Dorchester downs Thamesford, 6-3

Connor Lovell registered one point to lead the Dorchester Dolphins to a 6-3 victory over the Thamesford Trojans.

Dorchester forced Thamesford goalie Tynan Lauziere to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. The Dolphins could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game.

Dorchester also got points from Shayne Rhyno, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Connor McKay, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Tommy Prokes, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Jeff Risdon also scored for Dorchester. More assists for Dorchester came via Tyler Vere, who had two and Brady Veroughstraete, Jesiah Sweetland, Tyler Blue, Matt Cormier, Liam Gillooly, Brendon O Shaughnessy, and Bryan McCauley, who contributed one a piece.

The Trojans' offense rang up 35 shots on Dorchester's net. Thamesford was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 54 penalty minutes.

The Trojans were helped by Stavros Mandrapilias, who had one goal. Mandrapilias scored 3:53 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thamesford. Dylan Salter assisted on the tally. Thamesford also got a goal from Ben Kirwin as well. Other players who recorded assists for Thamesford were Paul Grasby, Beau Diloreto, Peter Wey APM, and Jeremy Denomme, who each chipped in one.

Patrick Maziarz recorded 32 saves for the Dolphins. Dorchester registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Tynan Lauziere made 36 saves for Thamesford on 42 shots. The Trojans registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Thamesford ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Andrew McLennan was ejected from the game.
