Brandon Garner was superb between the pipes for the Port Stanley Sailors, as he did not allow a goal in a 6-0 victory over the Lucan Irish. Trevor Smith had two goals and two assists to lead Port Stanley. Smith scored the first of his two goals at 11:22 into the third period to make the score 4-0 Port Stanley. Josh Tremblay assisted on the tally. Smith's next tally made the score 6-0 Port Stanley with 2:43 left in the third period. Zach Zinga picked up the assist. The Sailors excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Port Stanley forced Lucan goalie Joseph Frustaglio to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots. The Sailors got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Port Stanley also got points from Zinga, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Port Stanley included Zak Jukna, who had one and Dan Gordon, who had two. More assists for Port Stanley came via Luke McGuire, who had one. The Irish were held below their usual level of production. Lucan averages 4.2 goals per game. Port Stanley was unable to stop the Irish from sending pucks towards the net, and Lucan eventually piled up 45 shots on goal. The Irish could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 38 minutes in penalties during the game. Brandon Garner made 45 saves for the Sailors on 45 shots. Port Stanley incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Frustaglio rejected 45 shots on goal for Lucan.
