Jesse Ross had two goals and two assists to lead the Hagersville Hawks to a 7-2 victory over the Norfolk Rebels.

Ross' tallies came at 12:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hagersville and 33 seconds into the second to make the score 3-0 Hagersville.

Norfolk's power play was ineffective against Hagersville's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Hawks made Rebels' goalies to work between the pipes, finishing with 71 shots and forcing 64 saves. Jason Miller made 48 stops and Jason Pachieko made 16. Hagersville stifled the Rebels' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Hawks' goal total was higher than their season average. Hagersville averages 4.7 goals per game.

Norfolk managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Rebels finished below its season average of 31.0 penalty minutes per game.

Matt Murphy rejected 24 shots on goal for the Hawks. Hagersville incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
