Lambeth blows out North Middlesex, 9-0North Middlesex Arena Sat, Jan 12, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Lambeth Lancers had an eight-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-0 win over the North Middlesex Stars. Lambeth got the win on the strength of a great game by Matt Schurr, who had two goals and one assist. Schurr scored the first of his two goals at 8:35 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Lambeth. Justin Clark provided the assist. Lambeth additionally got points from Mitch Furlonger, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Douglas, who also had two goals and two assists. Lambeth also had goals scored by Warren Hargraves, who had two and Carter Allen and Mitch Thomas, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Lambeth were Brandon Robbins and Conor Chilvers, who contributed one a piece and Nick West and Mike Golinowski, who each chipped in two. North Middlesex's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Lambeth power plays. The Stars did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. North Middlesex averages 2.8 goals per game. Logan Ferrington made 19 saves for Lambeth on 19 shots. The Lancers ended with nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major. Lambeth ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Riley Gilmore was ejected from the game. The Stars totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For North Middlesex, Jeremy Vandeven was ejected from the game.
