Lambeth downs Thamesford, 7-3

The Thamesford Trojans fell to the Lambeth Lancers, 7-3.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 15:53 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with three game misconducts.

Lambeth struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 27 penalty minutes for 12 opposing power plays.

The Lancers were helped by Mitch Thomas, who had one goal and one assist. Thomas scored 6:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambeth. Riley Gilmore provided the assist. Lambeth also had goals scored by Cody Wuytenburg and Justin Clark, who scored one goal each and Warren Hargraves and Conor Chilvers, who each put in two. In addition, Lambeth received assists from Mike Golinowski, who had two and Carter Allen, Nick North, Derek Courtney, Greg Douglas, and Matt Schurr, who each chipped in one.

Lambeth was unable to stop Thamesford from sending pucks towards the net, and the Trojans eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

Thamesford was led by Kyle Walker, who racked up one goal and two assists. Walker scored on the power play 12:08 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Lambeth. The Trojans had gained a power play chance when Allen was whistled for cross checking. Judson Couture picked up the assist. Adam Levine also scored for Thamesford. Other players who recorded assists for Thamesford were Fabio Galante and Brandyn Di Domenico, who contributed one a piece.

JP Trudell made 33 saves for the Lancers on 36 shots. Lambeth registered one goal on six power play opportunities. For the Lancers, Wuytenburg was ejected from the game. Thamesford's James Champagne stopped 23 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Trojans ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major. Thamesford ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Couture was ejected from the game.
