Early goals doom North Middlesex, falls to Dorchester, 11-3

The Dorchester Dolphins jumped out to a four-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat the North Middlesex Stars, 11-3.

Chad Brulotte had two goals and two assists to lead Dorchester. Brulotte scored the first of his two goals short handed at 6:32 into the first period to make the score 4-0 Dorchester. The Dolphins played down a man on Brendon O Shaughnessy's hooking. Liam Gillooly picked up the assist. Brulotte's next tally short handed made the score 10-3 Dorchester with 4:16 left in the third period. Dorchester had gotten the advantage when North Middlesex's Nic Kowaluk was sent off for tripping. Aiden Estabrooks (APM) provided the assist.

The Dolphins' offense rang up 36 shots on the Stars' net. Dorchester found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Dolphins average 4.8 goals per game.

Dorchester also got points from Connor McKay, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Connor Lovell, who also grabbed three goals and one assist, and Gillooly, who also registered one goal and three assists. Jesiah Sweetland also scored for Dorchester. In addition, Dorchester received assists from Tyler Vere, who had two, Tyler Blue, who had three, and Matt Johnson, Jordan Fuller, Brett Dzyngel, and Patrick Freel, who each chipped in one.

Jake Fonti made 25 saves for Dorchester on 28 shots. The Dolphins incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. North Middlesex's Ryan Swartzentruber stopped 25 shots out of the 36 that he faced. The Stars incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
