Tavistock downs Wellesley in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

The Tavistock Braves pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over the Wellesley Applejacks on a clutch goal by Deven Kropf.

Kropf was all over the ice for Tavistock, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Kropf scored the first of his two goals at 12:57 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Tavistock. Charlie Malson provided the assist. Kropf's next tally made the score 5-4 Tavistock with 15:44 left in overtime.

The Braves' offense rang up 43 shots on Wellesley's net.

Tavistock also got points from Malson, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Mac Kalbfleisch also scored for Tavistock. In addition, Tavistock received assists from Jordan Ritsma, who had one and Josh Wagler, who had two.

The Applejacks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Tavistock to score on any of its six power plays.

Wellesley was helped by Blake Hetherington, who had one goal. Hetherington scored 10:48 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Tavistock. Luke Rose assisted on the tally. Wellesley also got a goal from Mark Detzler as well. More assists for Wellesley came via Jake Ariss, Coleton Madge, Corey Way, Brett MacDonald, and Tyler Eckert, who contributed one a piece.

Tim Parker made 26 saves for the Braves on 30 shots. Tavistock incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Josh Heer recorded 38 saves for the Applejacks. Wellesley incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
