Golinowski leads Lambeth over Lucan, 6-2Lucan Community Wed, Dec 19, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Lambeth Lancers' Mike Golinowski had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 6-2 win over the Lucan Irish. Golinowski scored 2:22 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Lambeth. Brandon Robbins picked up the assist. Golinowski dished an assist on Robbins' goal that made the score 1-0 Lambeth at 14:45 into the first period. He added another helper on Tanner Smith's goal that made the score 4-0 Lambeth at 8:34 into the second period.Lambeth pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 47 penalty minutes. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 6:52 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. The Lancers kept Lucan's goalie busy throughout the game, and Joseph Frustaglio made 39 saves on 45 shots. Lambeth excelled on the penalty kill, only allowing the Irish to get one power play goal on 12 chances. Lambeth additionally got points from Robbins, who also had one goal and one assist and Warren Hargraves, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Nick North also scored for Lambeth. More assists for Lambeth came via Carter Allen, Josh Bumpus, Ryan Pennington, and Kale Corbeth, who each chipped in one. Lucan stifled the Lancers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lambeth was unable to stop the Irish from sending pucks towards the net, and Lucan eventually piled up 47 shots on goal. The Irish were helped by Colin Hartwick, who registered one goal. Hartwick scored on the power play 5:02 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Lambeth. Wes Huston assisted on the tally. Lucan also got a goal from Colin Nancekivell as well. In addition, Lucan received assists from Cam Bond, who had one. JP Trudell rejected 45 shots on goal for the Lancers. Lambeth registered zero goals on three power play opportunities. Team's Kyle Huston, Smith, and Cody Wuytenburg were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Lucan ended with 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and three majors. For the Irish, Jordan Vanderwel, Hartwick, and Mathew Smallman were ejected from the contest.
