Curtis Sauve finished with two points to lead Chippawa to a 7-0 victory over the Burford Bulldogs.

Chippawa forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up five minors and two majors for 30 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 20.0 minutes per game Chippawa had been spending in the box. Chippawa stifled Burford's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bulldogs racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and three majors for 43 minutes in penalty time. Burford surpassed its season average of 27.0 penalty minutes per game. The Bulldogs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. Burford's offense operated below it season average. The Bulldogs put an average of 4.9 pucks into the net per game. Burford did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting nine shots on net to force nine saves.
