Dorchester completes comeback, beats Port Stanley, 5-3

The Dorchester Dolphins rallied from three goals down to secure a 5-3 win over the Port Stanley Sailors.

Dorchester never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Dolphins was down 3-0 after a goal by Port Stanley's Josh Tremblay at 6:11 in the second period. Dorchester tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Brendon O Shaughnessy at 12:08 in the second period. The Dolphins scored the game winner at 2:38 in the third period on a goal by O Shaughnessy.

Dorchester was led by Matt Cormier, who tallied one goal.

The Dolphins stifled the Sailors' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Dorchester forced Port Stanley goalie Brandon Garner to work between the pipes, taking 54 shots.

Dorchester also got a goal from Chris Buckholz as well. Other players who recorded assists for Dorchester were Jordan Fuller, Brady Veroughstraete, Patrick Freel, and Chad Brulotte, who contributed one a piece and Shayne Rhyno and Jacob Baribeau, who each chipped in two.

The Sailors made Dolphins' goalies to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots and forcing 32 saves. Alex Hutcheson made 15 stops and Jake Fonti made 17.

Port Stanley was helped by Tyler Beaulieu, who registered one goal. Beaulieu scored 11:00 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Port Stanley. Zak Jukna provided the assist. Port Stanley also got points from Tremblay, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Mark Fraser also scored for Port Stanley. More assists for Port Stanley came via BARRET JOHNSON, Tyson Corkum, Trevor Smith, and Findley Brandon, who contributed one a piece.

The Dolphins incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Garner recorded 49 saves for the Sailors. Port Stanley incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
