The Dorchester Dolphins and the Lambeth Lancers were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Dorchester made the most of its opportunities and won, 5-4. The Dolphins gained the winning advantage on a goal by Matt Cormier 17:58 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. Dorchester got the win with help from a great game by Shayne Rhyno, who had two goals and one assist. Rhyno scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 5:53 into the second period to make the score 2-2. The Dolphins had taken the advantage when Lambeth's Conor Chilvers got sent off for tripping. Jacob Baribeau provided the assist. Rhyno's next tally on the power play made the score 3-3 with 16:29 left in the third period. Dorchester had gotten the advantage when the Lancers' Dale Morningstar was sent off for head contact. Chris Buckholz picked up the assist. The Dolphins stifled Lambeth's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Dorchester's offense rang up 35 shots on the Lancers' net. The Dolphins got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Dorchester additionally got points from Buckholz, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Tyler Blue also scored for Dorchester. In addition, Dorchester received assists from Brendon O Shaughnessy, who had two and Tyler Vere and Connor Lovell, who each chipped in one. Lambeth's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. The Lancers give up 2.4 goals per game. Lambeth also got a goal from Nick West as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lambeth were Tanner Smith, who had two and Brandon Robbins, Derek Courtney, Mitch Furlonger, and Warren Hargraves, who contributed one a piece. Alex Hutcheson made 24 saves for Dorchester on 28 shots. The Dolphins incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Jared Zavitz (APM) rejected 30 shots on goal for Lambeth. The Lancers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
