Lambeth rips Thamesford, 5-2

The Thamesford Trojans had trouble finding ways to stop the Lambeth Lancers, which beat Trojans, 5-2.

Lambeth pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 34 penalty minutes.

The Lancers were led by Tanner Smith, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Smith scored on the power play 4:08 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Lambeth. Lambeth had gotten the advantage when Thamesford's Judson Couture was sent off for roughing. Mitch Furlonger assisted on the tally.

The Lancers kept the Trojans' goalie busy throughout the game, and James Champagne made 38 saves on 43 shots. Lambeth's penalty kill managed to stymie Thamesford's power play, giving up only one goal while playing with a man down.

Lambeth also got points from Mike Golinowski, who also registered one goal and one assist, Furlonger, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Warren Hargraves, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Conor Chilvers also scored for Lambeth. More assists for Lambeth came via Greg Douglas, who had two and Nick West, Ryan Pennington, Nick North, and Brandon Robbins, who contributed one a piece.

The Trojans could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Thamesford puts an average of 4.9 pucks into the net per game.

The Trojans were helped by Brandyn Di Domenico, who had one goal and one assist. Di Domenico scored 1:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thamesford. Adam Levine provided the assist. Thamesford also got a goal from James Toye as well.

The Lancers' JP Trudell stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Lambeth registered two goals on six power play opportunities. Thamesford incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
