The Port Stanley Sailors relied on the scoring touch of Josh Tremblay, who netted two goals, to beat the Lucan Irish, 6-3. Tremblay scored at 15:05 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Port Stanley and again while 12:18 into the third to make the score 5-3 Port Stanley.Port Stanley excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Sailors kept Lucan's goalie busy throughout the game, and Dylan Hoover made 41 saves on 47 shots. Port Stanley also got points from Drew Eaton, who also had one goal and one assist. Port Stanley also had goals scored by Mark Fraser, who had one and Luke McGuire, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Port Stanley were Andrew Yurek, Taylor Schram, and Findley Brandon, who each chipped in one and Tyler Beaulieu and Mark Brisson, who contributed two a piece. The Irish's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Port Stanley power plays. Lucan forced Port Stanley goalie Brandon Garner to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. The Irish were helped by Mathew Smallman, who finished with one goal. Smallman scored 16:22 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Shane Guentner assisted on the tally. Cullen Harper also scored for Lucan. More assists for Lucan came via Mitch Read and Wes Huston, who each chipped in one. Garner recorded 34 saves for the Sailors. Port Stanley incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Lucan ended with seven minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major. For the Irish, Colin Hartwick was ejected from the game.
