Thamesford's Hill deadly on offense in 6-2 win against Mt.Brydges

The Thamesford Trojans relied on the scoring touch of Dakota Hill, who netted two goals, to beat the Mt.Brydges Bulldogs, 6-2.

Hill's tallies came at 1:06 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Thamesford and 5:19 into the third to make the score 4-2 Thamesford.

Thamesford's offense rang up 41 shots on Mt.Brydges' net.

Thamesford also got points from Adam Levine, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Dylan Black, who also had one goal and one assist, and Dylan Salter, who also registered one goal and one assist. Thamesford also got a goal from Brent Kipfer as well. More assists for Thamesford came via Beau Diloreto, who had two and Brandyn Di Domenico and Mitch Davies, who contributed one a piece.

The Bulldogs managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for 12 minutes in penalty time. Mt.Brydges ended up below its season average of 19.0 penalty minutes per game. The Bulldogs' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Thamesford power plays. Mt.Brydges forced the Trojans goalie James Champagne to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots.

The Bulldogs were led by Spencer Wilson, who finished with two goals. Wilson scored the first of his two goals at 9:26 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mt.Brydges. Matt Dacosta picked up the assist. Wilson's next tally made the score 2-1 Mt.Brydges with 2:31 left in the first period. Tony Lindner provided the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Mt.Brydges were Brady Doxtator (APM), who had one.

James Champagne made 40 saves for Thamesford on 42 shots. The Trojans incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Eric Steinman rejected 35 shots on goal for Mt.Brydges. The Bulldogs registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
