The Port Stanley Sailors came close to giving away a three-goal lead to the Thamesford Trojans, but did just enough to escape with a 7-6 victory. Port Stanley led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Sailors' Tyler Beaulieu's scored at 7:49 in the second period to put Port Stanley up 5-2. The Sailors forced Trojans' goalies to work without much rest, racking up 45 shots and forcing 38 saves. James Champagne made 28 stops and Grayson Templeman made 10. Port Stanley's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, the Sailors average 4.3 goals per contest. Port Stanley could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 32 minutes in penalties during the game. The Sailors were helped by Taylor McArthur, who had one goal. McArthur scored 6:17 into the third period to make the score 7-5 Port Stanley. Mark Brisson picked up the assist.
