Lambeth outlasts Exeter, 4-3SOJHL Fri, Nov 30, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Lambeth Lancers gutted out a close 4-3 win against the Exeter Hawks. Lambeth gained the winning advantage on a goal by Warren Hargraves 13:32 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. The Lancers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 40 penalty minutes. Lambeth was led by Hargraves, who finished with one goal and one assist. The Lancers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. Lambeth's offense rang up 38 shots on Exeter's net. Kale Corbeth also scored for Lambeth. More assists for Lambeth came via Mike Golinowski, who had two and Nick West, Ryan Pennington, Brandon Robbins, and Chandler Allen, who contributed one a piece. The Lancers were unable to stop the Hawks from sending pucks towards the net, and Exeter eventually piled up 39 shots on goal. The Hawks were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 28 penalty minutes. Exeter was led by Cam Jude, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Jude scored short handed 8:31 into the third period to make the score 3-3. A inciting an opponent call on Ryan Consitt put the Hawks on the penalty kill. Exeter also got a goal from Kalvin Thornton as well. In addition, Exeter received assists from Brodie Balcom, who had one and Conner Preston, who had two. JP Trudell rejected 36 shots on goal for Lambeth. The Lancers registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Exeter's Colton James stopped 34 shots out of the 38 that he faced.
