The Ayr Centennials pulled out a 6-5 (OT) overtime victory over the Hagersville Hawks on a clutch goal by Jimmy Roy. Although Ayr was up by as many as three goals in the third period, Hagersville kept the game interesting by staging a comeback that ultimately fell short. The Hawks got to within 5-4 on a power play goal by Derek Medeiros at 15:14 in the third period. The Centennials forced Hagersville goalie Matt Murphy to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. Ayr could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game. Ayr additionally got points from Dustin Scheer, who also had one goal and one assist and Jordan Eby, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Brett Gibson also scored for Ayr. More assists for Ayr came via Alex Richard, who had two and Adam Fisher, Ben Poort, Logan Beechey, and Mike McKnight, who each chipped in one.
