The Ayr Centennials used a six-goal second period to put away the Delhi Travellers, 8-1. Ayr got the win behind a great game by Alex Richard, who had two goals and two assists. Richard scored the first of his two goals at 9:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ayr. Declan Kaster provided the assist. Richard's next tally made the score 2-0 Ayr with 19:45 left in the second period. The Centennials pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 14 penalty minutes. Ayr forced Delhi's goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, finishing with 37 shots and forcing 29 saves. Nick Heath made 23 stops and Joe Drexler made six. The Centennials put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Travellers to score on any of their six power plays. Ayr outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, the Centennials average 5.5 goals per contest. Ayr also got points from Adam Fisher, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Jordan Eby, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Kaster, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Brett Gibson, who also had one goal and one assist, and Alex Mutton, who also registered one goal and one assist. Ayr also got a goal from Brandon Christopher as well. In addition, Ayr received assists from Justin Plant, Jimmy Roy, and Logan Beechey, who each chipped in one. Delhi could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Travellers put an average of 5.3 pucks into the net per game. Delhi was led by Colin VanDale, who scored the team's only goal. VanDale scored 17:54 into the third period to make the score 8-1 Ayr. Derek Friesen picked up the assist. Ayr's Mitch Figueirdo stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. The Centennials registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Ayr ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Alex Bogojevski was ejected from the game. The Travellers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
