Thamesford rolls over Lucan, 7-3Thamesford District Rec Fri, Nov 09, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Lucan Irish had trouble finding ways to stop the Thamesford Trojans, which beat Irish, 7-3. Thamesford was led by Dylan Black, who tallied one goal and one assist. Black scored 10:33 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Thamesford. Alex Clemens provided the assist. The Trojans put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Lucan to score on any of its three power plays. Thamesford's offense rang up 44 shots on the Irish's net. Thamesford additionally got points from James Toye, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Clemens, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Fabio Galante, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Thamesford also had goals scored by Dylan Salter, who had one and Andrew McLennan, who had two. More assists for Thamesford came via Dakota Hill, who had two and Kyle Davis, Kyle Walker, Brent Kipfer, and Mitch Davies, who each chipped in one. The Trojans were unable to stop Lucan from sending pucks towards the net, and the Irish eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Lucan was led by Colin Nancekivell, who tallied one goal and one assist. Nancekivell scored 4:32 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Thamesford. Cam Bond picked up the assist. Lucan also got points from Dylan Murray, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Lucan also got a goal from Shane Guentner as well. In addition, Lucan received assists from Nick Moniz and Dylan Symons, who contributed one a piece. James Champagne recorded 30 saves for Thamesford. The Trojans totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Thamesford ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Kipfer was ejected from the game. The Irish's Joseph Frustaglio stopped 37 shots out of the 44 that he faced. Lucan ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major. For the Irish, Colin Hartwick was ejected from the game.
