The Ayr Centennials, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Ayr and clinched a 7-5 victory. The Centennials led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Ayr's Adam Fisher's scored at 5:24 in the third period to put the Centennials up 6-3. Brandon Christopher had two goals and one assist to lead Ayr. Christopher scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 35 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. The Centennials had gotten the advantage when the Burford Bulldogs' Nathan Boyle was sent off for cross checking. Brett Gibson provided the assist. Christopher's next tally on the power play made the score 7-5 Ayr with 5:53 left in the third period. Jordan Eby assisted on the tally. Ayr's penalty kill excelled, as the Centennials gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. Ayr forced Burford goalie Don Davis to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots. Ayr also got points from Eby, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Nathan Redford, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Jimmy Roy also scored for Ayr. More assists for Ayr came via Ben Poort, who had two and Dustin Scheer, Declan Kaster, Hunter Moore, Zack Taylor, and Brady Wheelans, who contributed one a piece. The Bulldogs were helped by Ryan White, who grabbed one goal. White scored 7:14 into the third period to make the score 6-4 Ayr. Pat Bates picked up the assist. Burford additionally got points from Bates, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Burford also got a goal from Tyler Vandenbussche as well. Other players who recorded assists for Burford were JJ Haroland, Tommy Smith, and Michael Thomlison, who each chipped in one. Mitch Figueirdo recorded 22 saves for the Centennials. Ayr incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Burford's Davis stopped 36 shots out of the 43 that he faced. The Bulldogs incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
