Hargraves' hat trick boosts Lambeth over North Middlesex, 7-1

The North Middlesex Stars could not stop the Lambeth Lancers' Warren Hargraves, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-1 win.

Hargraves got on the scoresheet 5:25 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:00 into the first and at 9:51 into the second.

Lambeth was led by goalie Logan Ferrington, who finished with 32 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Ferrington will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.47.

The Lancers forced Stars' netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, totaling 54 shots and forcing 47 saves. Ryley Bonk made 24 stops and Ryan Swartzentruber made 23. Lambeth put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow North Middlesex to score on any of its five power plays.

Lambeth also got points from Mike Golinowski, who also registered one goal and two assists, Justin Clark, who also had one goal and one assist, Chandler Allen, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Cleo Gubbels, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Lambeth were Brandon Robbins, who had two and Ryan Pennington, Nick North, Kale Corbeth, Derek Courtney, and Conor Chilvers, who each chipped in one.

The Stars' offense rang up 33 shots on the Lancers' net.

North Middlesex was led by Zak MacNaught, who scored the team's only goal. MacNaught scored 16:29 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Lambeth. Greg Masschelein provided the assist.

Lambeth incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Stars incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
