Thamesford beats Mt.Brydges 8-3 as Walker gets hat trick

Kyle Walker lifted the Thamesford Trojans to an 8-3 victory with a hat trick against the Mt.Brydges Bulldogs.

Walker got on the scoresheet 6:03 into the second period. He then added goals at 17:35 into the second and at 19:46 into the second.

Thamesford pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 41 penalty minutes.

Mt.Brydges was unable to stop the Trojans from sending pucks towards the net, and Thamesford eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. The Trojans surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Thamesford averages 4.9 goals per game.

Thamesford additionally got points from Adam Levine, who also grabbed one goal and three assists and Beau Diloreto, who also had one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Thamesford included Dylan Salter, who had one and Alex Clemens, who had two. In addition, Thamesford received assists from Judson Couture, James Toye, Dakota Hill, Kyle Davis, and Mitch Davies, who contributed one a piece.

The Bulldogs were ineffective while on the power play, as they were held to one goal off of nine man advantages.

Mt.Brydges was helped by Mike Frizzell, who finished with one goal. Frizzell scored 1:45 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Thamesford. Hayden Trbizan provided the assist. Mt.Brydges also got a goal from Grant Johns as well. Other players who recorded assists for Mt.Brydges were Spencer Wilson and Ryan Battersby, who each chipped in one.

James Champagne rejected 25 shots on goal for the Trojans. Thamesford registered three goals on six power play opportunities. The Trojans ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Couture was ejected from the game. Eric Steinman recorded 25 saves for the Bulldogs. Mt.Brydges ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major. For the Bulldogs, Frizzell was ejected from the game.
