The Lambeth Lancers and the North Middlesex Stars were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Lambeth made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Conor Chilvers secured the win for the Lancers with a goal in the third period. Lambeth pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 21 penalty minutes. The Lancers were led by Chilvers, who grabbed one goal. Chilvers scored 10:31 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Lambeth. Ryan Pennington provided the assist. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 6:14 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. Lambeth's offense operated below it season average. The Lancers put an average of 5.6 pucks into the net per game. Lambeth also got points from Mike Golinowski, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Mitch Thomas also scored for Lambeth. In addition, Lambeth received assists from Warren Hargraves and Riley Gilmore, who each chipped in one. North Middlesex's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight Lambeth power plays. The Stars were helped by Ben Lawton, who registered one goal. Lawton scored 13:39 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Zak MacNaught picked up the assist. North Middlesex also got a goal from Brock Pinnell as well. Other players who recorded assists for North Middlesex were Taylor Rioux and Greg Masschelein, who contributed one a piece. JP Trudell made 22 saves for Lambeth on 24 shots. For the Lancers, Thomas was ejected from the game. Matt Lockwood recorded 27 saves for North Middlesex. The Stars totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors and one major and went 1-for-6 on the power play. North Middlesex ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Kyle Bulgin was ejected from the game.
