Sisson lifts Dresden over Mt.Brydges, 4-1

Taylor Sisson had two goals to lead Dresden to a 4-1 victory over the Mt.Brydges Bulldogs.

Sisson scored at 29 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Dresden and again while on the power play 13:52 into the second to make the score 2-0 Dresden.

Dresden was led by goalie Brent Paxton, who finished with 27 saves while allowing one goal. Despite the solid performance, Paxton will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.0 entering the contest.

Dresden's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Mt.Brydges power plays. Dresden kept Mt.Brydges' goalie busy throughout the game, and Eric Steinman made 42 saves on 46 shots. Dresden could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.

Dresden also got points from Brennan Rainey, who also finished with two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Dresden came via Macks Holmes, who had two and Jeff Vanrabaeys, Cody McPhail, and Wade Esselman, who contributed one a piece.

The Bulldogs could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.

Mt.Brydges was led by Jeremy Denomme, who scored the team's only goal. Denomme scored short handed 2:36 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Dresden. The Bulldogs were on a disadvantage when Mike Frizzell went off the ice for checking from behind. Robert McTaggart assisted on the tally.

Dresden registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Mt.Brydges ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Frizzell was ejected from the game.
