Goderich could not stop the Lucan Irish's Keiron Cobban, who tallied a hat trick in a 9-2 win. Cobban notched his first tally 6:41 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:41 into the third and at 19:01 into the third.Lucan scored early and often, and held a 4-0 advantage after the first 20 minutes of play. The Irish's offense rang up 50 shots on Goderich's net. Lucan outdid its season average for goals scored. The Irish average 4.2 goals per game. Lucan was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 30 penalty minutes. The Irish were held back by their power play unit, which tallied two goals on 13 chances. Lucan additionally got points from Nick Moniz, who also tallied two goals and one assist, Colin Nancekivell, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Wes Huston, who also had two goals and one assist. Matt Curtis also scored for Lucan. Other players who recorded assists for Lucan were Jordan Vanderwel, Mitch Read, and Dylan Murray, who contributed one a piece and Fraser Lewis and Mitch Smith, who each chipped in two. Goderich was hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled six minors and two majors for 62 minutes in penalty time. Dylan Hoover took the win and made 18 saves before being replaced by Joseph Frustaglio who made zero saves. Tyler MacGregor recorded 41 saves for Goderich. Goderich registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Team's Jake Lapointe, Chace Duckworth, and Jesse McIntyre were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
