Lambeth downs North Middlesex, 5-0

Riley Gilmore finished with one point to lead the Lambeth Lancers to a 5-0 victory over the North Middlesex Stars.

Lambeth put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow North Middlesex to score on any of its five power plays. The Lancers' defensive play was more effective than usual against the Stars. Lambeth gives up 2.1 goals on average per game. The Lancers kept North Middlesex's goalie busy throughout the game, and Bobby Raine made 32 saves on 37 shots.

Lambeth also got points from Conor Chilvers, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Lambeth also had goals scored by Dale Morningstar, who had one and Mike Golinowski, who had two. In addition, Lambeth received assists from Ryan Pennington, who had two and Nick West, Kale Corbeth, Derek Courtney, Warren Hargraves, and Cleo Gubbels, who each chipped in one.

The Stars' offense operated below they season average. North Middlesex puts an average of 2.9 pucks into the net per game.

Lambeth's Logan Ferrington stopped 21 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Lancers totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. For Lambeth, Kyle Huston was ejected from the game. The Stars ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major. North Middlesex ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Connor Knapman was ejected from the game.
