Rhyno leads Dorchester over Thamesford, 8-4

Shayne Rhyno had two goals and one assist to lead the Dorchester Dolphins to an 8-4 victory over the Thamesford Trojans.

Rhyno found the back of the net 15 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Dorchester and again while 15:32 into the second to make the score 5-2 Dorchester.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 13:45 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

Dorchester forced Trojans' goalies to work all game long, finishing with 41 shots and forcing 33 saves. James Champagne made 10 stops and Grayson Templeman made 23. The Dolphins bested their season scoring average. Dorchester has scored at the pace of 4.7 goals per game during the current campaign. The defensemen of the Dolphins were also effective in Thamesford's zone, and came away with two goals.

Dorchester additionally got points from Brett VanDusen, who also racked up two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Dorchester also got a goal from Tyler Blue as well. Other players who recorded assists for Dorchester were Brendon O Shaughnessy, who had two.

Dorchester was unable to stop the Trojans from sending pucks towards the net, and Thamesford eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

The Trojans were helped by Fabio Galante, who grabbed one goal and two assists. Galante scored 14:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thamesford. Beau Diloreto provided the assist. Alex Clemens also scored for Thamesford. In addition, Thamesford received assists from James Toye, who had one and Kyle Walker, who had three.

The Dolphins' Jake Fonti stopped 29 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Dorchester totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with nine minors and one major and went 1-for-1 on the power play. The Dolphins ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Liam Gillooly was ejected from the game. Thamesford totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 2-for-6 on the power play. For the Trojans, Brandyn Di Domenico was ejected from the game.
