Trudell, Lambeth blank Thamesford, 4-0

The Lambeth Lancers used a sparkling performance by JP Trudell to take down the Thamesford Trojans, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Lambeth's 4-0 shutout victory.

The Lancers' penalty kill excelled, as Lambeth gave up zero goals despite allowing nine power plays.

The Lancers stifled Thamesford's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lambeth forced the Trojans goalie James Champagne to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

The Lancers were led by Mitch Furlonger, who racked up one goal and one assist. Furlonger scored 11:23 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambeth. Ryan Pennington picked up the assist. Lambeth also got points from Mitch Thomas, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Nick North also scored for Lambeth. In addition, Lambeth received assists from Carter Allen and Riley Gilmore, who each chipped in one.

Thamesford put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Lambeth to score on any of its six power plays. The Trojans were held below their usual level of production. Thamesford puts an average of 3.0 pucks into the net per game.

Trudell rejected 28 shots on goal for the Lancers. Lambeth incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors. Champagne recorded 28 saves for the Trojans. Thamesford incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
