The Tavistock Braves survived a determined comeback attempt by the Burford Bulldogs on the way to a 2-1 win. Tavistock made the score 2-0 on a goal by Curtis Dotzert at 9:06 in the second period, and Burford got as close as 2-1 when Tyler Vandenbussche scored 19:05 into the third period. The Bulldogs were stymied by the Braves netminder Tim Porter who stopped 38 shots during the victory. The solid play of Porter will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.68. Tavistock stifled Burford's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Braves forced the Bulldogs goalie Don Davis to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Tavistock additionally got points from Mack Gingerich, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Tavistock received assists from Preston Connor, who had one and Dylan Yantzi, who had two. Burford's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Tavistock power plays. The Bulldogs' offense operated below they season average. Burford puts an average of 4.8 pucks into the net per game. The Bulldogs' offense rang up 39 shots on Tavistock's net. Other players who recorded assists for Burford were Nick Longhurst, who had one. The Braves incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Davis rejected 32 shots on goal for Burford.
