Jacob Baribeau finished with two points to lead the Dorchester Dolphins to a 5-2 victory over the Lucan Irish. The Dorchester penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled 18 minors and one major for 81 minutes in penalty time. The Dolphins had been averaging 31.0 minutes in penalties per game. Dorchester kept Lucan's goalie busy throughout the game, and Dylan Hoover made 34 saves on 39 shots. Dorchester also got points from Tyler Vere, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Dorchester also got a goal from Chris Buckholz as well. In addition, Dorchester received assists from Tyler Blue, who had two and Matt Johnson and Jordan Fuller, who contributed one a piece. The Irish were often in penalty trouble, totaling 14 minors and two majors for 48 minutes in penalty time. Lucan surpassed its season average of 30.0 penalty minutes per game. The Dolphins were unable to stop the Irish from sending pucks towards the net, and Lucan eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. The Irish had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on 16 chances. Lucan was led by Cam Bond, who registered one goal and one assist. Bond scored on the power play 11:19 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Dorchester. A leaving penalty bench penalty on Shayne Rhyno had put the Irish on the power play. Mike Dekok picked up the assist. Mitch Morin also scored for Lucan. Dorchester's Alex Hutcheson stopped 42 shots out of the 44 that he faced. The Dolphins registered three goals on eight power play opportunities. Dorchester ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brady Veroughstraete was ejected from the game. For Lucan, Morin and Colin Hartwick were ejected from the contest.
