The Hagersville Hawks relied on the sparkling performance of Justin Paccheco in net to grab a 3-1 win against the Burford Bulldogs. Hagersville's penalty kill excelled, as the Hawks gave up zero goals despite allowing nine power plays. Hagersville was led by Dan Stewart, who racked up one goal. Stewart scored 16:33 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Hagersville. Deacan Krause assisted on the tally. The Hawks stifled Burford's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Hagersville kept the Bulldogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Ben Beechey made 37 saves on 40 shots. The Hawks' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Hagersville finished with 32 penalty minutes. Hagersville also got a goal from Brett Dykstra as well. More assists for Hagersville came via Nick Halliday, Jacob Brown, and Jesse Ross, who contributed one a piece. Burford's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Hagersville power plays. The Bulldogs could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Burford averages 4.8 goals per game. The Hawks were unable to stop the Bulldogs from sending pucks towards the net, and Burford eventually piled up 52 shots on goal. The Bulldogs were led by Tyler Vandenbussche, who scored the team's only goal. Vandenbussche scored 4:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Burford. Tommy Smith provided the assist. Justin Paccheco made 51 saves for Hagersville on 52 shots. Burford incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
