Lambeth takes care of Mt.Brydges early, wins 11-2

The Lambeth Lancers jumped out to a four-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat the Mt.Brydges Bulldogs, 11-2.

Lambeth got the win with help from a great game by Dale Morningstar, who had one goal and two assists. Morningstar scored 4:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lambeth. Nick West assisted on the tally.

Mt.Brydges' power play was ineffective against the Lancers' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Lambeth forced Bulldogs' goalies to work all game long, finishing with 58 shots and forcing 47 saves. Eric Steinman made four stops and Alexander Markowski made 43. The Lancers surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Lambeth averages 7.3 goals per game. The Lancers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.

Lambeth additionally got points from Carter Allen, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, Nick North, who also had one goal and one assist, Mike Golinowski, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Mitch Furlonger, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Warren Hargraves, who also registered one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Lambeth included Tanner Smith, who had one and Conor Chilvers and Cleo Gubbels, who each put in two. In addition, Lambeth received assists from Brandon Robbins, who had two and Ryan Pennington, Kale Corbeth, and Derek Courtney, who each chipped in one.

The Bulldogs kept Lambeth's goalie busy throughout the game, and JP Trudell made 33 saves on 35 shots.

Hayden Trbizan also scored for Mt.Brydges. More assists for Mt.Brydges came via Cameron Dewan and Mike Frizzell, who contributed one a piece.

The Lancers registered two goals on one power play opportunities. For Lambeth, Robbins was ejected from the game. Mt.Brydges incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
