The Tavistock Braves had trouble finding ways to stop the Delhi Travellers, which beat Braves, 8-2. Delhi pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 20 penalty minutes. The Travellers made Tavistock's goalies to work between the pipes, ripping 33 shots and forcing 25 saves. Corey Tuffnail made four stops and Taylor VanBockel made 21. Delhi excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. The Travellers' offense operated below they season average. Delhi averages 11.5 goals per game. The Travellers were helped by Jordan Belanger, who had one goal. Belanger scored 5:02 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Delhi. Grant Gardiner provided the assist. Delhi additionally got points from Brad Hornby, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Travis Harper, who also registered one goal and two assists, Mike DeCoene, who also racked up two goals and one assist, and Gardiner, who also had one goal and one assist. Brad Ward also scored for Delhi. More assists for Delhi came via Taylor Hockley, who had three and Josh Bradshaw, Jeremy Jacobs, and Derek Friesen, who each chipped in one. The Braves were held below their usual level of production. Tavistock puts an average of 4.5 pucks into the net per game. The Braves were helped by Brandon Kalbfleisch, who finished with one goal. Kalbfleisch scored 1:18 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Delhi. Charlie Irwin assisted on the tally. Tavistock also got a goal from Mac Kalbfleisch as well. Nick Heath recorded 27 saves for Delhi. The Travellers registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Tavistock incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
