Ward leads Delhi over Norfolk, 15-3

Brad Ward was all over the ice for the Delhi Travellers, as he tallied four goals and two assists in Delhi's 15-3 win over the Norfolk Rebels.

Ward got on the scoresheet 15:18 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:16 into the first, at 18:59 into the first, and at 11:40 into the second.

Norfolk's five penalties came back to haunt it, as the Rebels let up four goals while on the penalty kill.

The Travellers kept Norfolk's goalie busy throughout the game, and Alex Tipping made 39 saves on 54 shots.

Delhi additionally got points from Harrison McRobert, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Derek Friesen, who also grabbed three goals and one assist, and Jordan Belanger, who also finished with two goals and four assists. Others who scored for Delhi included Jeremy Jacobs, who had one and Mike DeCoene, who had four. More assists for Delhi came via Cody Stout, who had six, Travis Harper and Jamie Newell, who contributed two a piece, and Josh Bradshaw and Taylor Hockley, who each chipped in three.

The Rebels were helped by Steve Parker, who had one goal. Parker scored 1:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Norfolk. Kurtis Pettitt provided the assist. Norfolk also got points from Dylan Cole, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Nate Parker also scored for Norfolk. Other players who recorded assists for Norfolk were Tyler Butler, who had two and Clayton Charot and Steven Pineo, who contributed one a piece.

Delhi took out Nick Heath after he had made 10 saves and installed Alex Stephens in goal, where he finished with 13 saves and the win. The Travellers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Norfolk incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
