The game between the Dresden Kings and the Kingsville Comets was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Dresden emerged with a 4-2 win.

Kingsville's power play was ineffective against the Kings' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Brent Paxton made 28 saves for Dresden on 30 shots. The Kings incurred 42 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For Dresden, Johnathan Derynck was ejected from the game. Lane Parent rejected 25 shots on goal for Kingsville. The Comets incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
