The Wheatley Sharks used a sparkling performance by Nick Keeler to take down the Alvinston Flyers, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Wheatley's 3-0 shutout victory. The Sharks were paced by Riley Babkirk, who registered one goal and one assist. Babkirk scored 8:16 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Wheatley. Sebastian Kanally provided the assist. Wheatley stifled Alvinston's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Sharks kept the Flyers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brad Jacklin made 36 saves on 39 shots. Wheatley additionally got points from Kanally, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Kyle Quick also scored for Wheatley. Other players who recorded assists for Wheatley were Nikko Sablone, who had two. Alvinston excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Flyers were held below their usual level of production. Alvinston puts an average of 4.0 pucks into the net per game. Keeler recorded 25 saves for Wheatley. The Sharks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Flyers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
