Kingsville holds on for 4-2 win against DresdenKingsville Arena Sat, Nov 17, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Dresden Kings tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Kingsville Comets held on for a 4-2 victory. A goal by Adam Minovski put Kingsville up 4-1 in the third period, but Dresden pulled to within two on Macks Holmes' tally 14:19 into the third period. The Comets pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 36 penalty minutes. Kingsville forced the Kings goalie Brent Paxton to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. Team could not crack Dresden's penalty kill and was held to one power play goal while having 14 opportunities to play with the man advantage. The Comets were helped by Daniel Beaudion, who racked up one goal. Beaudion scored 6:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kingsville. Frank Desjardin picked up the assist. Kingsville also got a goal from Mark Fratarcangeli as well. Other players who recorded assists for Kingsville were Robert Jardine and Justin Parker, who each chipped in one. The Kings' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Dresden finished with 44 penalty minutes. Josh Clements also scored for Dresden. More assists for Dresden came via Dylan Mertz, Alex Schmidt, and Jesse Allen, who contributed one a piece. Marcus Rees rejected 23 shots on goal for Kingsville. Paxton recorded 37 saves for the Kings. Dresden registered one goal on 10 power play opportunities.
