Mooretown survives Kingsville comeback, wins 4-3Kingsville Arena Sat, Nov 10, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Kingsville Comets tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Mooretown Flags held on for a 4-3 victory. A goal by David Addley put Mooretown up 4-2 in the third period, but Kingsville pulled to within one on Daniel Beaudion's tally 18:29 into the third period. Jeff Schroeter had two goals and one assist to lead the Flags. Schroeter scored the first of his two goals at 10:02 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Riley Roberts picked up the assist. Schroeter's next tally made the score 3-2 Mooretown with 15:56 left in the third period. Jeff Sit provided the assist. The Comets were unable to stop Mooretown from sending pucks towards the net, and the Flags eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Dan Lumley also scored for Mooretown. In addition, Mooretown received assists from Andrew Sokol, who had one and Alec Rutherford, who had two. Kingsville stifled Mooretown's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Kingsville also got a goal from Devin Shannon as well. More assists for Kingsville came via Connor Rennie, Kyle Morand, Steven Spada, Zach Ross, and Justin Parker, who each chipped in one. Braden Palocz rejected 26 shots on goal for the Flags. Mooretown incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Comets' Kyle Andrian stopped 29 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Kingsville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
