Belle River downs Wallaceburg, 4-1

Jason Clarke had one point to lead the Belle River Canadiens to a 4-1 victory over the Wallaceburg Lakers.

Belle River stifled Wallaceburg's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Canadiens' offense rang up 36 shots on the Lakers' net.

Belle River additionally got points from Chris DiNatale, who also registered one goal and one assist. Mark Manchurek also scored for Belle River. More assists for Belle River came via Mike Ditty, who had three and Andrew Synnott, Branden Larocque, James Shelton, and Josh Synnott, who contributed one a piece.

Wallaceburg did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Lakers average 3.5 goals per game.

Wallaceburg was led by Lucais Meyskens, who scored the team's only goal. Meyskens scored 13:53 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Belle River. Joe Daly picked up the assist.

Belle River's Zakk Olvin stopped 22 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The Canadiens incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Devine Cove recorded 32 saves for the Lakers. Wallaceburg incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
