The Blenheim Blades' Owen Bateman scored 4:18 into overtime to beat the Port Stanley Sailors, 5-4 (OT). Blenheim overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Blades fell behind 2-0 after a power play goal by Port Stanley's Tyson Corkum at 15:25 in the first period. Blenheim tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Ryan Frizzell at 13:13 in the third period. The Blades were led by Bateman, who grabbed one goal. Blenheim's offense rang up 51 shots on the Sailors' net. The Blades bested their season scoring average. This season, Blenheim averages 2.9 goals per contest. The Blades were held back by their power play unit, which tallied two goals on 11 chances. Blenheim got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.
