Kingsville downs Wheatley, 3-1

Mark Sobocan finished with one point to lead the Kingsville Comets to a 3-1 victory over the Wheatley Sharks.

Steven Spada also scored for Kingsville. More assists for Kingsville came via Ryan Jones, Mark Fratarcangeli, Daniel Beaudion, and Zach Ross, who contributed one a piece.

Wheatley excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances.

The Sharks were led by Jon Woelk, who scored the team's only goal. Woelk scored short handed 18:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wheatley. A roughing call on Kurtis Ouellette put Wheatley on the penalty kill. Kyle Quick provided the assist.

Nathan Crankshaw recorded 24 saves for Kingsville. The Comets ended with 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major. Kingsville ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Connor Rennie was ejected from the game. The Sharks' Marc Tremblay stopped 18 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Wheatley incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Sharks, Luke Gagnon was ejected from the game.
