The Belle River Canadiens beat the Blenheim Blades, 2-0, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout. A goal 15:53 into the the first period by Chris DiNatale proved to be the game winner, and powered Belle River to the victory Branden Larocque provided the assist.Zakk Olvin frustrated Blenheim's offense all game, and stopped 26 shots en route to a shutout. Olvin managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.83 prior to the game. The Canadiens were led by DiNatale, who tallied one goal and one assist. Belle River's offense operated below it season average. The Canadiens average 4.7 goals per game. Belle River was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. The Canadiens gives up 2.2 goals on average per game. Belle River forced the Blades goalie Justin Pratt to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. Josh Synnott also scored for Belle River.
