The Kingsville Comets fell behind early, and the Alvinston Flyers kept piling on the points on the way to a 10-3 victory. Alvinston got the win behind a great game by Josh Moore, who had two goals and one assist. Moore scored the first of his two goals at 10:56 into the first period to make the score 4-0 Alvinston. Moore's next tally made the score 5-0 Alvinston with 18:35 left in the second period. The Flyers found themselves down a man on Karsten Berg's illegal equipment. Alvinston forced Kingsville's goalies to work between the pipes, racking up 48 shots and forcing 38 saves. Nathan Crankshaw made zero stops and Kyle Andrian made 38. The Flyers' goal total was higher than their season average. Alvinston has scored at the pace of 4.1 goals per game during the current campaign. The Flyers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game. Alvinston additionally got points from Kyle Cutler, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Joe Archer, who also had one goal and two assists. Alvinston also had goals scored by Clint Rose and Troy Whitely, who each put in one and Dylan Lightfoot and Kirk Dorman, who scored two goals each. More assists for Alvinston came via Tyler Kettler, who had two and Matt Laberge, Connor MacKinnon, and Chad Vaneyk, who contributed one a piece. Alvinston was unable to stop the Comets from sending pucks towards the net, and Kingsville eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. The Comets found themselves short handed often, totaling 44 penalty minutes and allowing 10 power plays. Connor Rennie also scored for Kingsville. In addition, Kingsville received assists from Robert Jardine, Frank Desjardin, Andy Britton, and Daniel Beaudion, who each chipped in one. James Morreau rejected 35 shots on goal for the Flyers.
