Kingsville falls to Blenheim after surprising comeback

The Blenheim Blades rallied from two goals down to secure a 3-2 win over the Kingsville Comets.

Blenheim never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Blades fell behind 2-0 after a power play goal by Kingsville's Daniel Beaudion at 4:21 in the second period. Blenheim tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Kirk McKillop at 9:15 in the third period. The Blades got the game winner at 14:16 in the third period on a goal by McKillop.

McKillop had a great game for Blenheim, netting two goals.

Blenheim also got a goal from Jake ONeil as well. In addition, Blenheim received assists from Owen Bateman, Taylor Phillips, Tyler Clarke, and Matt Speed, who each chipped in one.

The Comets excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Devin Shannon also scored for Kingsville. More assists for Kingsville came via Robert Jardine, Tyler Kirby, Mark Sobocan, and Ryan Desjarlais, who contributed one a piece.

Justin Pratt made 26 saves for the Blades on 28 shots. Blenheim incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Kyle Andrian rejected 24 shots on goal for Kingsville. The Comets incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
