Curtis Prymack registered one point to lead the Essex 73s to a 2-1 victory over the Wheatley Sharks.

Essex forced Wheatley goalie Marc Tremblay to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Jordan Ryan also scored for Essex. More assists for Essex came via Kevin Boggs and Corey Beaulieu, who contributed one a piece.

The Sharks were held below their usual level of production. Wheatley averages 3.7 goals per game.

The Sharks were led by Brett Bowman, who scored the team's only goal. Bowman scored on the power play 5:41 into the second period to make the score 1-1. A slashing penalty on Alex Garon had put Wheatley on the power play. Eric Rivard assisted on the tally.

Trevor Wheaton made 23 saves for the 73s on 24 shots. Essex incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Tremblay recorded 33 saves for the Sharks. Wheatley incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
