Tampa Juniors holds on for 3-1 win against Florida Eels

Florida Eels tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Tampa Juniors held on for a 3-1 victory.

Tampa Juniors made the score 3-0 on a goal by Tommy Whiteley at 48 seconds in the third period, and Florida Eels got as close as 3-1 when Steven Prince scored 7:04 into the third period.

Tampa Juniors was led by Scott Lemire, who registered one goal and one assist. Lemire scored 10:14 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Tampa Juniors. Connor Esrick picked up the assist.

Tampa Juniors also got points from Paul Lochner, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Tampa Juniors were Jason Wrbelis and Logan Garst, who each chipped in one.

Florida Eels excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Florida Eels did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Florida Eels puts an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game.
