Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Tampa Juniors defeated Palm Beach Hawks in a shootout 3-2 (1-0 SO).

Tampa Juniors pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 38 penalty minutes.

Tampa Juniors excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances.

Tampa Juniors was helped by Tommy Whiteley, who racked up one goal. Whiteley scored 17:32 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Tampa Juniors. Joshua Feeley provided the assist. Tampa Juniors also got a goal from Ben Winter as well. Other players who recorded assists for Tampa Juniors were Michael Hirschauer, Christopher Bohlin, and Logan Garst, who contributed one a piece.

Palm Beach Hawks struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 18 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays.

Palm Beach Hawks was helped by Dennis Allingmon, who had one goal. Allingmon scored short handed 7:07 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Tampa Juniors. An interference call on Matthew Gross put Palm Beach Hawks on the penalty kill. Kevin Mansolill assisted on the tally. CJ Hoy also scored for Palm Beach Hawks.

Nicholas Malvin recorded 25 saves for Tampa Juniors. Palm Beach Hawks' Shayne Dietl stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that he faced.
